An Essence Statement is a short phrase that describes the core essence of who you are – and will go “ping” when you hear it because it will resonate so deeply within you. This trademarked HeartIgnited process is designed for you to gain clarity about your core essence and involves getting connected to your Knowingness or Higher Self through a unique guided meditation and then asking two very important questions – what are you deeply passionate about and what are you really, really good at? At the intersection of the answers to these questions is where your core essence lives.
I believe that we all have a unique core essence that wants to express itself in the world. I also believe that there are many different potential expressions to our individual core essence and that as we mature, we may become aware of those different aspects, like facets of a unique gemstone.
If you wish to get clearer about your special core essence, you may want to journal with your non-dominant hand the answers to the questions below. If you are right handed, write with your left and vice versa. Writing with your non-dominant hand allows you to access your feelings and creativity more easily.

Keeping the answers to the above two questions in your heart, create a short phrase that captures the aspect of your core essence that you are experiencing now. To give an example from my own life, my core essence is: An encouraging and light-hearted coach and speaker who inspires herself and others to live a meaningful and fully expressed life.
